Selection for the position of Cultural Activities Manager

The job functions of a cultural activities manager are the organization, coordination and implementation of cultural activities projects.

The official salary coefficient is from 0.83. The specific salary is discussed during the job interview.

Expected features:

  • organizes and/or implements cultural activity programs and projects, contributes to the implementation of other cultural initiatives at EKTAC as needed, and leads excursions;
  • plans, organizes and controls activities related to the non-formal education process;
  • prepares non-formal education programs, plans and reports;
  • organizes research related to non-formal education and evaluates its results as needed;
  • coordinates and conducts education, ensures their smooth economic and administrative service and high-quality implementation of content;
  • coordinates and provides information to visitors about EKTAC events, excursions, exhibitions, educational activities and new services;
  • fills in the calendars of educational activities, excursions, exhibitions, and event hall occupancy;
  • organizes folk art exhibitions, fairs, ethnocultural events, initiates the dissemination of ethnic culture;
  • collects, analyzes and provides statistical data to the Deputy Director;
  • organizes EKTAC project activities in order to obtain additional funding from various funds: searches for potential funding funds, submits proposals and prepares project applications, and implements the activities provided for in the projects and prepares their reports;
  • controls the execution of project contracts until the final implementation of the project;
  • submits reports in accordance with established requirements and procedures;
  • participates in the public procurement process.

 

Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:

  • have a higher university education in the field of humanities, social sciences or arts, but not lower than a higher university education with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education or a higher college education with a professional bachelor's degree or equivalent education;
  • have at least one year of work experience in the field of culture: educational, cultural events, programs, community relations, digital content creation, project work, publishing, etc.;
  • have good computer skills (MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook Express; Internet Explorer, Acrobat Reader);
  • to know the peculiarities of ethnic culture, the cultural identity of the Šiauliai district;
  • be able to work individually and in a team, be creative, communicative, proactive, organized, and responsible;
  • be creative, communicative, proactive, responsible, able to work in a team, communicate with people, guided by the principles of respect for others, decency and exemplary behavior, and not violate ethical principles and rules in behavior and activities.
