Educational program "Wicker weaving"

The education "Wicker Weaving" is an invitation to touch this craft slowly and from the inside. Led by a certified creator of national heritage products, participants will learn how wicker is collected, prepared and processed, and will become familiar with weaving techniques, patterns, forms and their application both in ancient times and today.

During the creative activity, symbolic souvenir baskets, suns or other small items will be woven - each of them is born from the movement of the fingers, patience and a calm presence with the material. Weaving not only develops manual dexterity, but also teaches you to listen - to time, to the process, to the silence between movements.

The activity is intended for older students, but it also opens the door to adults who want to experience the ancient craft up close. And along with their craft, everyone will take home a memory - of a warm birch branch taking shape, of a time when things were born from hands and hearts.
